Hotel Gabrielli

Hotel Gabrielli, Venice
The Hotel Gabrielli will be familiar to all fans of the film Don't Look Now (1973), as the director Nicolas Roeg used its lobby for that of the fictional Europa Hotel (in which the Baxters stayed).

The hotel occupies the Gothic Palazzo Gabrielli, which is situated on the Riva degli Schiavoni and dates back to the end of the fourteenth century.
Vera da Pozzo, Hotel Gabrielli, Venice
The courtyard of the hotel is home to a beautiful and ancient vera da pozzo (well-head), which is carved with two images of the Archangel Gabriel, the family's patron saint.
