Anyone for Tennis?

More often than not, the high brick walls, which one encounters so frequently in Venice, are hiding private gardens.

However, in one case the walls are concealing not a garden but a tennis court, the only one in the centro storico.

The court sits in the shadow of the campanile of San Boldo (Venetian for Ubaldo). The ancient church, which was originally dedicated to Santa Agata, was demolished in 1826, but part of its 14th century bell tower still stands.
